I am Associate Professor in English Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of Nottingham. My main research interests are in corpus linguistics and contextual approaches to meaning. Currently I am working on a book on Corpus stylistics and Dickens's fiction.
I am the editor of the International Journal of Corpus Linguistics. Together with Wolfgang Teubert from the University of Birmingham I am also editing the book series Corpus and Discourse.
